If your employer deducted excess tax, you can claim a refund by online application under section 170.
Make sure to file your return through IRIS and declare your actual income and tax liability.
The system will automatically calculate the excess tax paid.
You need to apply for a refund in the relevant section of the return.
Update bank details before applying.
