If you're salaried, file if your annual salary exceeds PKR 600,000.

If you're self-employed, run a business, or earn income other than salary, file if you earn more than PKR 400,000 per year.

Even if your income is below the thresholds, certain circumstances—like ownership of high-value assets, professional registration, or electricity use still make filing mandatory.
