I, for the first time, filed my return in the year 2024. Then due to certain reasons, I could not file the return for 2025. Now, I want to file my return, could you please elaborate how is it possible? Thanks in anticipation.

You can file your tax returns even after the due date through the FBR online portal.

If the FBR has issued any notice, it is mandatory to respond promptly to that notice.

An additional fine of Rs1,000 may be applicable if your name needs to appear on the Active Taxpayers List (ATL). Otherwise, you can wait for the next filing year, and the ATL will be updated automatically along with the applicable fine.
