As a salaried person, your employer usually deducts tax at source through payroll, but you are still required to file a tax return if your total income exceeds the taxable threshold set by FBR.
Freelance income earned online is also taxable in Pakistan, even if received from abroad.
All income sources—salary and freelance—are added together to determine your total taxable income.
Filing a return ensures compliance and avoids penalties for underreporting.
It’s advisable to maintain records of your freelance earnings and consult FBR guidelines for accurate reporting.
