Documents attachments with tax return

Is it mandatory to attach documents with the tax return as system allows to file the return without attaching any documents. What is the advice and best practice?

Answer 1

For individual tax returns no attachment is mandatory.
For Businesses Profit and Loss accounts are required.
For Companies Financial Statements are mandatory.

In case of deficiency you can receive notice for compliance.
