If you’re taking services from a Waste Management Company (which is a filer), the applicable withholding tax is under Section 153(1)(b) of the Income Tax Ordinance, 2001 (payments for services).

  1. Payments to a Waste Management Company fall under the category of services.

  2. As per Section 153(1)(b), tax is withheld on service payments.

  3. Since the company is a filer, the withholding tax rate is 6%.

  4. If the company were a non-filer, the rate would be higher (usually 12%)
