FBR Cracks Down on E-Intermediaries Involved in Sales Tax Fraud

Karachi, Pakistan: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has launched a crackdown on e-intermediaries involved in widespread sales tax fraud.

The FBR has identified numerous cases where e-intermediaries have manipulated sales tax records through fake and flying invoices. The FBR plans to cancel the licenses of implicated e-intermediaries and hold them accountable for their role in facilitating tax evasion.

The FBR emphasized that e-intermediaries are jointly and severally liable with registered taxpayers for any false or incorrect information submitted.
