Karachi, Pakistan – The Sindh Revenue Board (SRB) has taken action against two businesses in Karachi for tax evasion and non-compliance with the Sindh Sales Tax on Services Act, 2011.
The SRB sealed the premises of Sajjad Restaurant located at Do Darya and Dawat, an event management company in Khayaban-e-Bukhari, Phase VI, DHA. Both entities were found to have under-reported their sales and failed to file the required tax returns despite multiple warnings.
Sajjad Restaurant was also non-compliant with the SRB’s POS invoicing system. Business Recorder
The SRB emphasized that similar measures will be taken against any service provider in Sindh who fails to comply with tax laws. This action demonstrates the SRB’s commitment to ensuring that public revenue is not lost due to tax evasion.
