The Sindh Revenue Board (SRB) has achieved significant growth in its revenue collection, reporting a remarkable 27% increase for December 2024. During the month, the SRB collected Rs27.03 billion, a substantial rise from the Rs21.30 billion recorded in December 2023. This performance underscores the board’s efforts in enhancing tax compliance and efficiency within the province.
For the first half of the fiscal year 2024-25, covering the period from July to December 2024, the SRB’s total revenue collection reached Rs133.14 billion. This marks an impressive 23% increase compared to the Rs108.59 billion collected during the same period in the previous fiscal year. The consistent upward trend in revenue reflects the SRB’s focus on implementing effective policy measures and adopting modernized tax administration techniques.
This growth highlights the SRB’s commitment to achieving its annual revenue targets and contributing to the fiscal stability of Sindh. Improved compliance mechanisms, enhanced taxpayer outreach programs, and streamlined administrative processes have collectively played a pivotal role in boosting revenue. The board’s proactive measures to broaden the tax base and minimize revenue leakages have further solidified its position as a key driver of the province’s economic stability.
The SRB’s continued focus on innovation and reform in tax collection practices is expected to sustain this growth momentum in the coming months, ensuring that Sindh meets its fiscal objectives for the current year.
