SRB POS Integration: Who Needs to Register?

The Sindh Revenue Board (SRB) has implemented a Point of Sale (POS) integration system for enhanced transparency in tax collection. This article clarifies which businesses must register their POS systems for real-time sales reporting with the SRB.

Understanding SRB POS Integration:

The SRB requires specific categories of restaurants and online marketplaces to integrate their POS systems with the SRB’s central platform. This integration allows for real-time sales data transmission, ensuring accurate tax collection and reporting.

Who Needs to Register?

If your business falls under any of the following categories, you are mandated to integrate your POS system with the SRB:

  1. Restaurants in Hotels: This includes all restaurants operating within hotel premises, regardless of their size or type of cuisine.
  2. International Restaurant Chains: Both franchisees and franchisors of international restaurant chains must comply with SRB POS integration.
  3. Multi-Branch Restaurants in Sindh: Any restaurant with more than one branch operating within Sindh province needs to integrate their POS system.
  4. Restaurants in Air-Conditioned Malls: Restaurants situated in air-conditioned shopping malls across Sindh are required to register their POS systems.
  5. Online Marketplace Restaurants: Restaurants operating through online food delivery platforms like foodpanda or Deliveroo must integrate their POS systems.
  6. High-Turnover Restaurants: Restaurants whose annual turnover exceeds PKR 5 million in the preceding twelve tax periods are mandated to register their POS systems.

Importance of Compliance:

SRB POS integration is crucial for ensuring transparency and proper tax collection. Businesses falling under these categories must comply with the regulations and integrate their POS systems within the stipulated timeframe.

Conclusion:

By understanding these requirements and taking the necessary steps, restaurants and online marketplace platforms in Sindh can ensure compliance with SRB regulations and contribute to a more efficient tax collection system.
