Islamabad, Pakistan: The General Body meeting of the Pakistan Lingerie Manufacturers and Traders Association (PLMTA) has concluded with a commitment from members to assist the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) in implementing its transformation plan and documentation efforts.

Khan emphasized the importance of achieving complete import substitution in the lingerie sector and boosting exports to benefit Pakistan’s foreign exchange reserves. He pledged to work closely with the government to enhance the competitiveness of the lingerie industry in the European market and address tariff hikes.

Vice Chairman Furqan Sajjad highlighted the need for value addition in the textile sector and expressed confidence in the industry’s potential to contribute significantly to the country’s foreign exchange reserves with government support.

The PLMTA’s support for the FBR’s transformation plan is a positive step towards improving tax compliance and strengthening the economy.
