Creating a sales tax challan online involves two main scenarios:
- Registered taxpayers with login credentials for the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) e-filing portal.
- Individuals who do not have login credentials for the FBR e-filing portal.
Registered Taxpayers:
- Go to the FBR e-filing portal
- Log in using your NTN (National Tax Number) and password.
- Once logged in, navigate to the “e-Payments” section.
- Select the “Sales Tax” option.
- Choose the tax year and month for which you’re creating the challan.
- Enter the challan amount.
- You might be prompted to provide a valid phone number and email address.
- Select your preferred mode of payment from the available options (e.g., online banking, credit card).
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the payment process.
Individuals Without Login Credentials:
- Go to the FBR e-filing portal
- Under the “e-Payments” section, select “Sales Tax” from the dropdown menu.
- Choose the tax year and month for which you’re creating the challan.
- Select “Sales Tax” or “Sales Tax Withheld” depending on the nature of your payment.
- Enter the challan amount.
- Provide your valid phone number and email address.
- Select your preferred mode of payment from the available options (e.g., online banking, credit card).
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the payment process.
