How to Create Online Challan for Sales Tax Payment?

Creating a sales tax challan online involves two main scenarios:

FBR Launches Prize Scheme to Encourage Reporting Unverified Invoices.

  • Registered taxpayers with login credentials for the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) e-filing portal.
  • Individuals who do not have login credentials for the FBR e-filing portal.

Registered Taxpayers:

  1. Go to the FBR e-filing portal
  2. Log in using your NTN (National Tax Number) and password.
  3. Once logged in, navigate to the “e-Payments” section.
  4. Select the “Sales Tax” option.
  5. Choose the tax year and month for which you’re creating the challan.
  6. Enter the challan amount.
  7. You might be prompted to provide a valid phone number and email address.
  8. Select your preferred mode of payment from the available options (e.g., online banking, credit card).
  9. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the payment process.

Individuals Without Login Credentials:

  1. Go to the FBR e-filing portal
  2. Under the “e-Payments” section, select “Sales Tax” from the dropdown menu.
  3. Choose the tax year and month for which you’re creating the challan.
  4. Select “Sales Tax” or “Sales Tax Withheld” depending on the nature of your payment.
  5. Enter the challan amount.
  6. Provide your valid phone number and email address.
  7. Select your preferred mode of payment from the available options (e.g., online banking, credit card).
  8. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the payment process.
