Rawalpindi, Pakistan:The Federal Tax Ombudsman (FTO) has directed the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) to take immediate action against delinquent tax officers at the Regional Tax Office (RTO) Rawalpindi.
The FTO found that the RTO Rawalpindi had engaged in maladministration by attaching the bank account of a taxpayer without due process of law.
The FTO has ordered the FBR to conduct a fact-finding inquiry and refund the amount illegally recovered from the taxpayer. Business Recorder
