The FPCCI also highlighted the impact of the delayed issuance of return forms on taxpayers. The forms were released later than the stipulated deadlines, causing inconvenience to many.

Sheikh stressed the importance of a simplified tax filing process and urged the FBR to align its system with international best practices. He emphasized that the government should focus on reconciliation for salaried individuals who have already paid their taxes through source deductions.

By extending the deadline and addressing the technical issues, the FBR can improve compliance and ensure a fair and efficient tax system for taxpayers.
