Islamabad, Pakistan:In a move directed by the Chairman of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), all pending Sales Tax Refund Payment Orders for exporters, amounting to a total of Rs. 32 billion, are set to be disbursed on November 1, 2024.
These refunds, processed through the FASTER system up to September 30, 2024, will provide much-needed financial relief to exporters, enabling them to enhance cash flow and sustain their operations. FBR
This initiative is part of FBR’s commitment to support Pakistan’s export sector and facilitate economic growth by ensuring timely refund payments. The FASTER system, designed to streamline sales tax refund processes, aims to expedite reimbursements and reduce bureaucratic delays.
The prompt release of funds will assist exporters in meeting international demand and improving competitiveness in global markets.
