FBR Suspends Nine Officers Over Disciplinary Action

Islamabad, December 14, 2024: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has suspended nine officers/officials from service, effective immediately.

The suspension orders, issued under Notification No. 3269-IR-I/2024, cite Rule 5(1) of the Civil Servants (Efficiency & Discipline) Rules, 2020. The suspended individuals will remain under suspension for a period of 120 days or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

The notification lists the names and designations of the suspended personnel along with their current postings. These include Inland Revenue Officers, Inspectors, Office Superintendents, Senior Auditors, UDCs (Upper Division Clerks), and LDCs (Lower Division Clerks) stationed in various Regional Tax Offices and Corporate Tax Offices across Karachi, Hyderabad, Faisalabad, Sukkur, and Lahore.

The notification, signed by Muhammad Nadeem, Second Secretary (M/HR.IR-IV), FBR, further details the distribution of copies to relevant authorities, including the Secretary Revenue Division/Chairman, FBR, all Members of FBR, Chief Commissioners-IR, and concerned regional and departmental secretaries.
