ByIslamabad, Pakistan: The Regional Tax Office (RTO) Islamabad has sealed two prominent restaurants in the city for issuing fake invoices and receipts.
The action was taken after the FBR’s Point of Sales (POS) tracking software detected the fraudulent activity. The restaurants were fined Rs. 0.5 million each. FBR
The FBR has launched a POS Prize Scheme to encourage consumers to report fake receipts. Consumers who report fake receipts through the Tax Asaan app will receive cash rewards.
This initiative aims to curb the practice of issuing fake invoices and ensure that businesses comply with tax regulations.
