The action was taken after the FBR’s Point of Sales (POS) tracking software detected the fraudulent activity. The restaurants were fined Rs. 0.5 million each. FBR

The FBR has launched a POS Prize Scheme to encourage consumers to report fake receipts. Consumers who report fake receipts through the Tax Asaan app will receive cash rewards.
