Islamabad, Pakistan: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has ruled out any further extension to the income tax return filing deadline, which remains October 14, 2024.
The FBR spokesperson, Bakhtiar Muhammad, emphasized that non-filers will face restrictions on their SIM cards, vehicle purchases, and property purchases if they fail to submit their returns by the deadline.
The FBR has already extended the deadline from September 30 to October 14 in response to taxpayer concerns. ARY News
As of September 28, approximately 2.9 million taxpayers had filed their returns, compared to 1.4 million during the same period last year.
The FBR urges taxpayers to file their returns before the deadline to avoid penalties and restrictions.
