ByIslamabad Pakistan: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has directed all customs field formations to remain open for extended hours to facilitate the collection of duties and taxes on the weekend of September 28th, 29th, and 30th, 2024.
To meet the taxpayers requirements as the last date of compliance falls on a weekend FBR extended the working hours. FBR aims to collect a significant amount of duties and taxes before the end of the month. FBR
Notification was issued on FBR official website.
Extended Hours: Customs offices will be open on Saturday and Sunday (September 28th and 29th) for duty and tax collection.
Late Night Operations: On these two days, offices will operate with extended hours until 10 PM.
Midnight Deadline: On Monday, September 30th, offices will remain open until midnight to receive duty and tax payments.
Same-Day Transfers: FBR is working with the State Bank of Pakistan and National Bank of Pakistan to ensure collected duties and taxes are transferred on the same day.
