Islamabad, Pakistan: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Chairman, Rashid Mahmood, has unveiled key features of the FBR’s Transformation Plan during a meeting with senior tax officials.
The FBR Is already giving incentives on quarterly basis to officers, showing good performance and amassing assigned targets. Business Recorder
The plan aims to enhance tax collection, improve efficiency, and combat corruption within the FBR. Key components include additional monetary rewards for high-performing officers, a zero-tolerance policy for corruption, measures to address non-filers, empowering tax machinery, establishing specialized units, implementing a reward system, and conducting third-party audits.
The FBR Chairman emphasized the importance of these reforms in improving tax collection and strengthening the country’s economy. He urged officials to embrace the transformation plan and work towards achieving the FBR’s goals.
