The business leaders argue that the affidavit requirement places an unfair burden on taxpayers who may not have complete visibility into their suppliers’ compliance. Express Tribune

They believe that verifying suppliers through the FBR system is sufficient and that holding taxpayers responsible for the entire supply chain is illogical.

The KCCI and PTEA have called on the FBR to focus on creating a conducive business environment and avoid measures that could harm legitimate businesses. They emphasized the importance of addressing the issue of delayed refunds and reducing the financial burden on businesses.
