AJK Inland Revenue Department Warns of Penalties for Non-Filers

The Inland Revenue Department of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) has issued a strong warning to all taxpayers to fulfill their tax obligations by filing their income tax returns on time. Failure to comply may result in severe consequences, including the blocking of cell phone numbers and bank accounts.

To regain active tax status, taxpayers are required to:

  1. File Income Tax Returns: Submit their income tax returns for all latest tax year i.e 2024.
  2. Pay ATL Challan: Pay the Annual Tax Liability (ATL) challan. The ATL for individuals is currently set at Rs. 1,000 and can be conveniently paid online through designated channels.

  • Avoid Penalties and Disruptions: Non-compliance can lead to severe penalties, including the blocking of cell phone numbers and bank accounts, which can significantly disrupt daily life.
