In a press release, the All Pakistan Private Schools and Colleges Association warned that such a tax would lead to a significant increase in education costs, making it unaffordable for many families. The association emphasized that the tax would contradict the government’s slogan of “Education for All” and undermine efforts to address the educational crisis.

During a meeting of the association’s Central Executive Committee, members unanimously rejected the proposed tax and vowed to escalate the issue to higher authorities. The committee also discussed concerns over recent FSC results from the Federal Board of Islamabad and the impact of the high court’s ruling on non-conforming use in Islamabad’s sectoral areas.

The association pledged to work with the Capital Development Authority (CDA) to address the challenges faced by private schools in Islamabad and promote public-private partnerships in education. Pro Pakistani
