KPRA Surpasses Revenue Target, Sets New Goal for 2024-25

Peshawar, Pakistan – The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Revenue Authority (KPRA) has exceeded its revenue collection target for the financial year 2023-24, generating Rs.37 billion compared to the assigned target of Rs.35 billion.

This achievement was highlighted during a meeting of the Revenue Policy Board chaired by Chief Minister Ali Amin Khan. The meeting discussed the KPRA’s strategies, successes, and challenges in boosting the provincial government’s income.

For the upcoming financial year 2024-25, the meeting set a new revenue collection target of Rs.47 billion. This ambitious goal reflects the KPRA’s continued efforts to enhance tax compliance and optimize revenue generation.

The meeting also approved the KPRA’s budget estimates for the new fiscal year and conditionally approved various proposed regulations. Business Recorder

Chief Minister Ali Amin Khan Gandapur emphasized the importance of utilizing information technology to improve transparency and build capacity in tax collection. He directed the KPRA to prioritize digitization in high-revenue-generating areas and to address vacancies to strengthen its workforce.
