The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has issued a directive to ensure efficient tax and duty collection as the second quarter of the fiscal year 2024-25 nears its end. According to an official notification dated December 20, all Large Taxpayers’ Offices (LTOs), Medium Taxpayers’ Offices (MTOs), Corporate Tax Offices (CTOs), and Regional Tax Offices (RTOs) are instructed to remain open on December 21 (Thursday), December 28 (Saturday), and December 29 (Sunday).
The notification emphasizes the need for proactive enforcement measures to meet quarterly revenue targets. The FBR field formations have been directed to operate with full readiness and maintain normal working hours during these additional days to facilitate taxpayers and ensure smooth collection processes.
This initiative underscores the FBR’s commitment to achieving its fiscal goals while providing necessary support for taxpayers during the critical year-end period.
