Islamabad, Pakistan: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has announced a new prize scheme designed to incentivize customers to report unverified invoices issued by large, integrated tier-1 retailers.
Customers who shop at integrated tier-1 retailers and receive an unverified invoice can participate in the scheme by reporting it through a dedicated mobile application or WhatsApp number. ProPakistani
Required Information:
- Customer Name
- CNIC Number
- Mobile Phone Number
- IBAN (bank account number)
- Proof of Digital Payment (mandatory)
- Picture of the Unverified Invoice
- Picture of the Business Premises that Issued the Invoice

Upon receiving a report of an unverified invoice, the FBR will generate an alert for the relevant Commissioner of Inland Revenue. The Commissioner will then authenticate the invoice to determine the customer’s eligibility for a prize.
The Commissioner will take necessary action against the retailer who issued the unverified invoice, as per the relevant provisions of the Sales Tax Act.
This prize scheme aims to promote transparency and discourage tax evasion by large retailers. By encouraging customers to report unverified invoices, the FBR hopes to improve tax compliance and ensure businesses are paying their fair share.
