Islamabad, Pakistan: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has initiated an inquiry into allegations of solvent oil smuggling involving Customs officials.

The Chief Collector of Customs Enforcement Punjab has been tasked with conducting a fact-finding investigation into the matter. The FBR received information suggesting that a network is operating to smuggle solvent oil from Iran through the Taftan border into Punjab.

The FBR suspects that Customs officials may be involved in facilitating the smuggling activities, both at the border and along the smuggling route. Pro Pakistani
