Islamabad, Pakistan– The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has successfully integrated 9,130 large retailers into the Point of Sale (POS) system as of September 2024.
This integration is part of the FBR’s efforts to document transactions of Tier-1 retailers, particularly hotels and restaurants.
Out of the 9,130 retailers integrated, 660 are restaurants and 506 are leather and textile retailers. Business Recorder
The FBR has also reported that only 277 shopkeepers/retailers have paid tax under the Tajir Dost Scheme, totaling Rs503,632.
The number of registered retailers under the Tajir Dost Scheme now stands at 63,964.
